Through the YMCA programmes, she stays active through art jamming, Y Dance and Y Bowling sessions and enjoys spending time with the many friends she has made here.
Full of ambition and energy, April aspires to be a fashion designer someday and take her artistic endeavours to new heights.
At the YMCA, we strive to continue engaging youth like April in holistic development. Our various programmes champion, challenge and train youth with special needs, youth-at-risk and less privileged youth in Singapore to rise above their circumstances and become effective contributors to an inclusive society.
Every dollar goes a long way in strengthening youth in Singapore. From 1 December to 22 December, for every donation valued at $100 and above, receive a special Christmas e-card with a beautiful painting done by April!
Funds raised go to the YMCA Community Services Fund, which supports arts, sports and vocational training programmes for youth with special needs, youth-at-risk and youth in need.

About the Charity
*COVID-19 Update: Due to COVID-19, many vulnerable communities face new challenges. Fundraising has also become exceptionally difficult. We would like to make an appeal to all to join us in our efforts in reaching out during these tough times. Your donation will fund new initiatives and existing programmes that support these communities. Please read "Our Programmes" for more information on these programmes.
The YMCA of Singapore stands to champion, challenge and train youth to become independent and effective contributors to an inclusive society.
Our "YMCA Strong" campaign is a statement of our desired outcome for all we serve - to give our clients a hand up, not simply a handout, so that each one will be strengthened to reach their potential.
Our programmes range from training and employing youth with special needs to mobilising and training youth leaders and volunteers to serve the needy in society.
