About Campaign

ends 28 Feb 2023, 11:59 PM
Vision For Youth Programme Fundraising aims to raise funds for Xin Yuan's long-standing youth programme, which has served underprivileged youths since 2006. The programme aims to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty, by providing academic support through free tuition, mentoring support to instil positive values and character development, family support services and other assistance for disadvantaged students.

In addition, we also support our children beneficiaries through bursaries, mentoring, character-building workshops, learning journeys (where possible), as well as free groceries, school supplies and financial assistance.

For 2022, we scaled up our tuition support to incorporate the use of online learning systems as complementary learning resources, to supplement the regular engagements of our tutors, mentors and volunteers with our students. Our students have consistently shown great improvement from attending our regular tuition programme, and this enhanced tuition model will help them to achieve even better results.

If you would like to play an integral role in supporting the learning and development of our underprivileged children, we invite you to donate to this campaign.

Donations to Vision for Youth Programme will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Tote Board and the Government through the Enhanced Fund-Raising (EFR) Programme. Donors will also be entitled to 2.5 times tax deduction incentives.

Thank you for your generosity!

About the Charity

Established in 2005, Xin Yuan Community Care (XYCC) is a registered charity and a full member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), with an Institution of Public Character (IPC) status.

Our charity is committed to providing regular healthcare and therapeutic services, basic necessities, financial assistance, social and enrichment activities, and other relevant services to over 260 needy seniors as well as academic support to around 50-60 underprivileged children from low-income families. For FY2021-22 amidst the pandemic, total service availment and programme participation reached 18,490.

Our Day Activity and Wellness Centre conducts daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc programmes and services for the elderly. We provide centre-based services such as regular health checks to our seniors, daily group exercise, physiotherapy/TCM services, meals/grocery distribution, and other support services. We also create the space and opportunity for our elderly to interact with each other and with volunteers from all walks of life, to keep them engaged and as a form of social and emotional support.

In addition, XYCC extends financial assistance to needy families, giving them monthly grocery supplies and subsidies, and empowering disadvantaged youths through academic, mentoring and enrichment programmes.
