About Campaignends 29 Jan 2022, 11:59 PM
Xin Yuan Community Care's Love Movement Initiative is an integrated Community Involvement Programme, working in close partnership with schools such as Nan Hua High School, Raffles Girls School, Yishun Town Secondary School, Catholic High School (Primary), Bendemeer Primary School and organisations such as Toa Payoh Seu Teck Sean Tong Temple, Li Teck Chuan Cin Tong Temple, and our Toa Payoh North Zone 2 Residents Corner.
We are determined in reaching out to care for our community through the long-term collaboration with the organisations which have strong footholds in the Toa Payoh Constituency, while simultaneously expanding our outreach by building upon partnerships with organisations outside the Bishan-Toa Payoh region.
About the Charity
Xin Yuan Community Care (XYCC), set up in May 2005, is a registered member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) and is also an Institution of Public Character (IPC). Our charity is committed to providing regular financial assistance and other forms of therapeutic, health, and educational support to 200 needy elderly as well as 50 underprivileged children from low-income families in the Bishan-Toa Payoh area.
We do so by providing daily group exercise activities for our elderly led by our fitness trainer. We also provide the space and opportunity for our elderly to interact with each other, or with volunteers, which also provides social and emotional support. In addition, XYCC provides financial support to needy families, giving them monthly grocery supplies and subsidies.
We also ensure that we hold festive celebrations such as Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Lantern Festival, Deepavali and Christmas for all our beneficiaries and their families.
