The Hut houses its flagship programme, EduGrow for Brighter Tomorrows. EduGrow is a specially curated programme for children from lower-resourced families, consisting of academic support, mentoring and parent-support programmes. Under EduGrow, children from 5 to 7 years old receive weekly literacy and numeracy support from volunteers. For children aged 8 to 12 years old, they attend weekly English and Math Group Academic Coaching. Children under EduGrow also receive weekly mentoring support from positive adults in the community. At The Hut, programmes are preventive and developmental and seek to increase protective factors and mitigate risks at a young age. The Hut also reaches out to youths through its Hut Youth Academy programme by providing support for pre-teens transiting to adolescence and engages them constructively in their teenage years. For children and youth who require additional support, our social worker support them via casework and counselling.
For all Hut programmes, we seek to develop each Hut child across these 5 domains: Positive Identity, Positive Values, Education, Life & Social Skills and Support Network.
