With a focus in traditional Indian music and dance, for more than 35 years, TFALKC has produced a variety of shows, ranging from legendary dance dramas such as Ramayana (2012) and The Rajput Princess (2016) to modern and locally relatable ones such as Premanadi - the river of love (2018) with original music compositions to name a few.
Having spearheaded the concept of large-scale productions in Singapore, TFALKC is constantly re-evaluating how it can transport audiences with immersive art experiences, be it through comprehensive sets, intricate backdrops, elaborate costumes, large casts or detailed storylines. We also spotlight Indian Classical music (Taal Express 2013 ; Hrydaya, 2019 etc) and Traditional Indian dance styles (Stree Purusa, 2016 ; Anugamanam, 2018) separately.
Through Shantanjali Festival of Arts (SFA), which we host annually, we engage with local singaporean artists of all disciplines and bring arts to the communityThe era of digital performance creates a new opportunity for us to grow and reach out to a wider audience and adapt to the changing times. Not only do digital productions allow us to broaden our thinking by conceptualising ideas with new boundaries, it also brings us closer to our audience, allowing us to bring the arts to their homes, to continue making traditional art forms relatable and easily accessible to the community.
