About Us

Singapore Buddhist Welfare Services (SBWS) is a voluntary welfare organization registered as a society on 27 May 1981. We are a full member of the National Council of Social Service since 1 January 1985, and was granted charity status on 9 May 1991 under the Charities Act. We were also granted Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status since 27 July 1993

Our Programmes

Since 1981, SBWS has been promoting a warm and harmonious community of love and kindness, relieving the pain and suffering of the less fortunate through charitable relief, depending solely on public donations. We serve the vulnerable, sick and the needy community of children, youths, adults and the elderly.

Daily Meal Delivery
We provide free vegetarian meals to the needy elderly and the vulnerable

Monthly Financial Assistance
We provide monthly financial grants to the needy elderly, the poor and the sick

Monthly Food Rations
We provide monthly food rations to the needy elderly, the poor and the sick

Green Haven (Half-way House)
We help male drug offenders to undergo community-based rehabilitation and reintegration into society

Happy Villa
We have been providing sheltered residential care to the needy female elderly

Hearty Care Centre Family Service
We offer case management and counselling, life skills workshops and family life education

Grace Child Development Centre
We are a SPARK Certification (Commendation) centre for 0-6 years old children

Hearty Care Centre Student Care
We provide affordable quality student care services in a safe and experiential learning environment

Mobile Healthcare (TCM)
We bring affordable TCM services to the sick, vulnerable and elderly in the North - East region

SBWS - NKF Dialysis Centre
We provide subsidized dialysis treatments to needy kidney patients from low-income groups
