About Us
We support those whose income falls into the lowest 10% income bracket in Singapore, ensuring that this vulnerable group of patients will not be deprived of treatment as a result of their financial situation.
We currently run four haemodialysis centres at Admiralty Link, Bishan, Chinatown and Ghim Moh, serving about 340 patients annually. At least $4 million is needed yearly to continue KDF's life-saving mission.
All donations to KDF will be eligible for tax deduction as we are a IPC registered charity.
*Impact statements listed above are for illustrative purposes only. All donations received through this page will be channelled into the KDF general fund, which covers patients' dialysis treatment, public education, research and other operating expenses.
Our Programmes
Subsidised Dialysis
Subsidised Medication
Portable Subsidy (for high dependency patients)
Adopt-A-Patient (second tier funding for a select group of patients)
(2) Education & Social Support for Patients
Patient orientation (for new patients)
Periodic dialysis reviews
Dietetic counselling
Patient education seminar (twice a year)
Patient outing (twice a year)
Our main focus is on providing subsidised dialysis treatment and medication to needy patients. About 80% of our annual spending is used for this purpose.
Patient out-of-pocket fees are calculated based on what they can afford and based on their household income. For those unable to afford their portion of the co-payment after KDF subsidy, they are placed under the Adopt-A-Patient Programme, where their payment is further subsidised. In some case, patients need not pay a single cent.
