FRCS is the umbrella body that unites the 23 Rotary Clubs in Singapore and is the charity arm of Rotary in Singapore. Over the past 24 years, the Foundation has transformed gifts into impactful service projects that changed lives in the community - bringing to fruition, the Rotarian ideal of "Service Above Self". In so doing, promoting the core Rotarian values of Fellowship and Global Understanding; Ethics and Integrity; Diversity; Vocational Expertise, Service and Leadership within and beyond the Rotarian community.

Rotary in Singapore have contributed significantly to the formation of various causes to support the welfare of the Citizens in the past half century or more. Rotarians either played a major role or helped establish the following:

- The Singapore Anti Tuberculosis Association (SATA)
- The Anti-TB Clinic at Tan Tock Seng Hospital
- Built the first hostel for the Aftercare Association
- The first Day Training Centre for the Singapore Association for Mentally Retarded Children
- Founded the Singapore Cancer Society
- The first Sheltered Workshop for Paraplegic
- Mobile Blood Bank
- The Society for the Aged Sick and Payoh Lai Home
- The Singapore Anti-Narcotic Association (SANA)
- Established an Observation Tower and Life Saving Complex at Changi Point
- Launched the first Computer Software Writing Competition in Singapore
- Founded the Singapore Eye Foundation
- Founded the Singapore Blood Bank
- Established the Rotary Family Service Centre
