About Us

Catholic Welfare Services (CWS) is a non-profit social service organisation founded in 1959 with the aim of uplifting the lives of the less fortunate in the community. We provide a wide range of programmes and services in support of our various beneficiary groups. We operate 3 Nursing Homes, a Sheltered Home for the elderly, a training and development programme for persons with intellectual challenges, outreach programmes for at-risk youth, support programmes for rough sleepers, as well as financial assistance and scholarship programmes for both youths and adults.

Our Programmes

1) Social Assistance Programmes:
We provide support programmes aimed at empowering individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency. These include financial assistance programmes, food relief programmes, and bursaries and scholarships for students in need.

2) Nursing Homes:
Our three Nursing Homes, St Joseph's Home, St. Theresa's Home, and Villa Francis Home for the Aged, provide long-term residential care for the elderly in need.

3) Sheltered Home:
We operate St Vincent Home, a sheltered home set up in collaboration with the Society of St Vincent de Paul, to provide accommodations for elderly persons who are healthy and mobile but need a place to call home.

4) Training and Development for Persons with Intellectual Challenges:
Our [email protected] programme provides vocational training for individuals with intellectual challenges, equipping them with both job and social skills for greater self-sufficiency and independence.

5) Youth Outreach
The CWS-BT YouthReach programme, a collaborative initiative with Boys' Town, reaches out to at-risk youth in the Toa Payoh and Tampines communities, providing outreach, workshops and mentorship support to help them realise their full potential.
