About Us

Bethesda CARE Centre is a non-profit social service agency set up in 1996 with the purpose to express care for the community through social service and welfare assistance. We reach out to children, youths, families, seniors and people with mental health issues.

Our Programmes

The following are some of our Programmes Services:

1) FAME CLUB - Friendship And Mind Enrichment Club
At FAME Club, we firmly believe that unless we integrate those with mental health issues back into the community in a safe and assured manner, all the good rehabilitation work and progress achieved in the earlier stages will be ineffectual.

We place a premium on and provide ample opportunities for our members to interact with people of diverse background and social standings. This leads to a broader social circle and community acceptance and fostering of friendships through sharing of concerns, hopes and aspirations among the members.

Our holistic and structured programmes engages members meaningfully and provides opportunities for social interaction and the learning of useful skills.

2) FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE & COUNSELLING
We provide short-term financial assistance to those who are facing financial difficulties. Besides meeting their financial needs, our case workers will also provide counselling to those who are facing various issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship problems, grief, stress etc.

3) TUITION PROGRAMME
Not every child is able to keep up with the rigour of the curriculum and most of them would do better with additional support. We offer heavily subsidized tuition programme aimed to provide academic assistance to those from lower-income families. We also hope to motivate these children and help them pick up useful study skills in the long term.
