About Campaign

ends 31 Oct 2020, 11:59 PM
Across the world, COVID-19 has affected each and everyone of us adversely. But the impact it has on vulnerable groups, such as the elderly or those with mental health issues, is especially concerning.

Addiction takes many forms and the nature of this mental health condition is such that many recovering persons will not be able to cope, left entirely on their own.

To survive through COVID, to continue to get counselling, to remain connected through meetings, and to stay clean while cooped up at home - these present huge challenges for recovering persons.

We know everyone has parents to take care of, children and family members to look after, and juggling all this while working from home is especially trying now.

We ask you and everyone you know to come together collectively to help WE CARE so we can continue to treat and support this underserved group of people.

Note - The short video presented here was done by Rice Media to explain the journey of John, an alcohol addict, who is getting treatment at WE CARE.

About the Charity

WE CARE is an addiction and education centre that provides support for all forms of addictions and compulsive behaviours including drugs, alcohol, gambling, eating disorders, sex & love and internet & gaming.

We offer one-on-one counselling, group therapy and support groups to recovering people as well as their family, children and loved ones.

We provide a drop-in centre where recovering people can connect with new friends who will form part of their support group. Activities such as baking, art, music, language, gardening, yoga, sports activities and other healthy pursuits are offered. In this way the recovering person receives a holistic recovery program.

Workshops and courses in computer skills, English, resume writing and interviews are also conducted to prepare our beneficiaries for workplace readiness and integration back into the community.

Your donation helps WE CARE to continue providing this valuable support to the recovering community and to keep the centre and its many activities and programs going.

Thank you very much for your support.
