About Campaign

ends 31 Aug 2017, 11:59 PM
Upcycling is the process of converting waste/ used items into newer, better and more environmentally friendly products, without the need of melting the items down in a factory. At Waterways Watch Society, we promote the upcycling of recyclables such as plastic and glass bottles. The more we upcycle, the less waste potentially ends up as landfill fodder, or worse, as litter in the environment. Upcycling activities and/ or themes are incorporated into our regular educational and outreach programs as they provide hands-on experience of a viable solution to our waste management challenges.

About the Charity

A special, independent volunteer group, bringing people together to love our waters and to inspire stewardship for our environment. Our volunteers conduct weekly environmental patrols on foot, bicycle, kayaks and boats around the Marina Reservoir, Punggol and upcoming Jurong.
