About the Activity
The Early Learning Programme *Plus* is a volunteer-based English grammar and reading programme for 8 year olds. We partner with a primary school to identify students that have fallen behind their peers in these areas. These children usually come from underprivileged families and often do not speak English at home. Volunteers are trained on the ELP+ teaching methods and provided with step by step teaching materials to use with the children.

Skills required: No Specific Skills Required Suitable for: First Timers, Open to All Min. age: 15
Volunteers are called to build the children's grammar and reading foundations, so that they can do better in school and keep up with their peers.
Volunteers will be trained via a 2-hour training session. Teaching guides and learning materials for the children will be provided.
