About the Activity

Our Mentoring Programme aims to reach out to at-risk children and youths within a school setting.

We engage volunteers for the Mentoring component to conduct a set curriculum of values like integrity and empathy, through games, videos, and other engaging activities.

In this 6-8 months programme, volunteers go for mentoring sessions weekly or fortnightly on weekday afternoons. Training on understanding youth will be provided upon clearing selection interview.

Sessions are on going every week.

Volunteer Positions

Mentor

Skills required: No Specific Skills Required Suitable for: First Timers, Seniors, Open to All Min. age: 18
Description of roles:
- To provide support, serve as positive role model, befriender to students and build positive relationships.
- To conduct mentoring sessions at respective schools based on the recommended curriculum provided.
- To help build self-esteem and motivation in the students, assist them with setting goals to achieve academic and personal success.

Commitment : Once weekly or Once every alternate week. At least 6 months - 8 months commitment throughout a whole school year.

Point to note

Mentors (upon clearing selection interview) will be sponsored for training on understanding and communicating with youth, that will also teach basic counselling skills.
