About the Activity

Join us as a HeritageCares Volunteer to host our participants and community groups, and provide an enjoyable and meaningful experience for all at the museums!

You may be involved in a variety of roles that include: Meet-and-greet, befriending, activity/workshop facilitation, programme design and more. Do note that some roles may require a mandatory orientation and training session. Students (VIA) welcome! For Corporate (CSR) groups, please email us separately for more information.

Volunteer Positions

Special Needs Befriender (2 & 3 Sep)

Skills required: Other Skills Suitable for: Open to All, Organisation or Groups Min. age: 15
Join us in making an afternoon out to remember for children with special needs! Volunteers should ideally have prior experience working with persons with special needs and/or disabilities. Skills required: No Specific Skills Required Suitable for: First Timers, Seniors, Open to All, Family Friendly, Organisation or Groups Min. age: 15
School's out! Join us in our signature HeritageCares School Holiday Programme for persons from underserved communities this September, as you learn more about Singapore's history and heritage at the museums. Your role may include befriending, activity/workshop facilitation, logistics, meet-and-greet and more.

HeritageCares Friend (Regular Commitment)

Skills required: Arts & Music, Volunteer Management, Other Skills Suitable for: Open to All Min. age: 15
Want to take on a more active role in guiding children, youths, PwDs and seniors at our museums? Sign-up with us today to be a HeritageCares Friend! You will be the first point of contact for our community groups when they visit, and a key contributor in making their visits a meaningful one.

Note that this is a REGULAR commitment, and volunteers MUST attend a 6-8 week training in Jan-Mar 2020 before officially graduating for your role. More information will be shared in mid-December.

For volunteers who have signed up as a 'HeritageCares Friend', note that you will be added to the mailing list, after which the training details will be shared in mid- to end-Dec. A separate confirmation email will be sent by NHB if successful.
