About Campaign
ends 30 Nov 2023, 11:59 PMAs our population ages and diseases becoming more complex, there is a growing demand for nursing care. The sharing of personal experiences from our nurses and knowledge that they have gained through years of ground experience, especially in times of crises, can provide rich and precious teaching material - this remains one of the best ways to teach or learn.
TTSH Nursing has come together to produce a novel resource 'textbook', 'Caring with Courage, leading with Strength' (tentative title), to share valuable knowledge and experiences with fellow nurses across hospitals. The book aims to provide invaluable nursing education and share knowledge for nurses in their own practice, ultimately contributing to improved healthcare for patients.
There will be 2,000 printed copies of the book and an e-version will be available to enable wider access.
Donations towards this campaign will be matched dollar-for-dollar under the Tote Board's Enhanced Fundraising programme (capped at $250,000 per charity).
All donations will go towards the production of the book. In the event of surplus, the donations will be channelled to TTSH Community Fund's General Fund - an unrestricted fund used to meet the urgent needs of all groups of needy patients while supporting healthcare research, training and innovation.
About the Charity
In keeping with Mr Tan Tock Seng's Legacy of Giving, Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) set up its charity arm, TTSH Community Fund, in August 1995 to improve the quality of life of our patients and the community.
Every year, our Charity disburses more than $2 million for our patient-centred programmes, and to support healthcare research, innovation and training for our staff and the community, to deliver better patient care.
From expensive non-standard medication and breathing equipment to mobility aids, community rehabilitation programmes, and even dentures to help them eat better, TTSH Community Fund helps needy patients with their out-of-pocket medical expenses so that they can gain greater independence, improve their quality of life and enable them to integrate back into the community.
Our Charity runs entirely on public donations. Every dollar to the Charity goes directly to support our activities. TTSH Community Fund is a registered charity with IPC status.
