About Campaign

Singapore celebrates its Bicentennial this year. Hence, the spotlight invariably shines on the Merdeka Generation who have worked hard during Singapore's nation-building years, and contributed to our country's development.

Now in their silver years, many of our elderly patients unfortunately fall through the cracks due to non-straightforward reasons such as not meeting the age requirements or household income ceiling criteria for existing assistance schemes, or simply due to the urgency of needs.

Our charity provides help to needy elderly patients through our 'Helping ElderLy Patient' (HELP) Programme. The programme's beneficiaries are 55 years old and above, and have little or no savings. In some cases, they do not have any caregivers to turn to for help.

Through HELP, our needy elderly patients receive assistance for out-of-pocket expenses such as consumables (feeding tubes, milk feeds, adult diapers), interim dialysis, mobility aids, breathing equipment so that they can breathe better, and non-standard medication that are unsubsidised.

With the assistance provided, these seniors are better able to maintain their health conditions and see an improvement to their quality of life.

About the Charity

In keeping with Mr Tan Tock Seng's Legacy of Giving, Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) set up its charity arm, TTSH Community Fund, in August 1995 to improve the quality of life of our patients and the community.

Every year, our Charity disburses more than $2 million for our patient-centred programmes, and to support healthcare research, innovation and training for our staff and the community, to deliver better patient care.

From expensive non-standard medication and breathing equipment to mobility aids, community rehabilitation programmes, and even dentures to help them eat better, TTSH Community Fund helps needy patients with their out-of-pocket medical expenses so that they can gain greater independence, improve their quality of life and enable them to integrate back into the community.

Our Charity runs entirely on public donations. Every dollar to the Charity goes directly to support our activities. TTSH Community Fund is a registered charity with IPC status.

Fundraising can help to raise more and change more lives.
