About Campaign
ends 31 Dec 2021, 11:59 PMThe Breast Service at TTSH has been actively involved in breast cancer research for many years. At our unit, we carry out clinical trials that look to increase the accuracy of breast imaging scans, to better predict treatment response and to improve post-surgery care. We participate in multicenter collaborations with other local and regional hospitals and partner research institutes both locally and internationally. Through this work, we have explored new drugs to treat drug-resistant cancers, developed liquid biopsy assays to detect and monitor breast cancer and have profiled tumours and blood to gain a deeper insight into the processes that govern tumour behaviour.
This campaign seeks to raise funds for the newly established TTSH Breast Cancer Research and Education Program,.
We thank all the donors who have helped us reach our fundraising target. We will keep this campaign open, to raise more funds for the BCRE Program, so that more can be done to understand and treat breast cancer.
About the Charity
In keeping with Mr Tan Tock Seng's Legacy of Giving, Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) set up its charity arm, TTSH Community Fund, in August 1995 to improve the quality of life of our patients and the community.
Every year, our Charity disburses more than $2 million for our patient-centred programmes, and to support healthcare research, innovation and training for our staff and the community, to deliver better patient care.
From expensive non-standard medication and breathing equipment to mobility aids, community rehabilitation programmes, and even dentures to help them eat better, TTSH Community Fund helps needy patients with their out-of-pocket medical expenses so that they can gain greater independence, improve their quality of life and enable them to integrate back into the community.
Our Charity runs entirely on public donations. Every dollar to the Charity goes directly to support our activities. TTSH Community Fund is a registered charity with IPC status.
