About Us

Established in 1995, Trybe is a social service agency that empowers youth to overcome their adversities. Our vision is "Every Youth a Success Story". We believe that all youth are able to reach the fullest of their potential to live successful lives. Thus, we are united by our mission - to journey with youth who face adversities to lead purposeful lives; inspiring them to impact others.

Trybe, an Institution of a Public Character (IPC), is a member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS). Our corporate values are resilience, integrity, service, and excellence.

Trybe runs various youth programmes and manages the Singapore Boys' Hostel (SBHL). We provide youth with guidance and offer support for their families and communities, creating a complete ecosystem of care from community-based outreach and interventions, to individual in-care and aftercare services.

All donations received through Giving.sg will be channelled to Trybe General Fund, which will be used to provide services and programmes to the community and our clients.

Your donation will be entitled to a tax-deduction of 250% of the donated amount.

Our Programmes

Complete Ecosystem of Care
In Trybe, we recognise that youth in Singapore are faced with different adversities in life. These adversities require different levels of support and Trybe is committed to provide a spectrum of services, ensuring that the different needs of the youth are met.

To date, we have reached out to more than 150,000 youths through the different services for ex-offenders, youth with at-risk behaviours and their families.

Intervention work
As part of our intervention work, Trybe engages youth showing behavioural and mental health issues through programmes such as Chrysalis and Project ANCHOR, guiding them towards a positive lifestyle.

Rehabilitation work
Our rehabilitation programmes aim to help the youth lead crime-free and drug-free lives. In 2011, Trybe has been appointed by the Ministry of Social and Family Development to manage the Singapore Boys' Hostel (SBHL). SBHL is a gazetted institution that serves youth in the age range of 12 to 21. Trybe also managed the Community Rehabilitation Centre (CRC) from 2014 until 2020. The CRC is a community-based drug rehabilitation centre that serves male first-time drug abusers between the ages of 16 to 21.

Reintegration work
In an effort to provide after-care for youth probationers and ex-offenders, Growing Resilient Youth in Transition (GRYT), was launched in 2015. Through GRYT, we support youth who have left the institutions to integrate back into society.
