The award winning performing arts group, The Philharmonic Wind Orchestra is celebrating their 20th anniversary with a Gala Concert at Esplanade Concert Hall titled Planet Earth 20+ Anniversary Gala - that celebrates the renewal of the planet and the human spirit. This would prove an inspiring and uplifting event for children who otherwise may not be able have to the means to experience the aural and physical impact of great live music making in a world class venue. This could be the concert that may ignite a spark of hope for many.
In this campaign, every $100 donation will enable a Business Times Budding Artists Fund (BT BAF) beneficiary to experience an evening of exquisite classical music as well as nett proceeds will also go into offering opportunities for children to receive training in five genres of the arts: Music, Dance, Theatre, Visual Arts, and Tech+Art, regardless of their personal or financial circumstances.
About the Charity
TRCL (The RICE Company Ltd) is a not-for-profit arts and culture charity with Institute of Public Character (IPC) status.
The organisation is committed to addressing the social divide through creative and artistic intervention for the underserved with the aim of building a more resilient Singapore community.
In this, TRCL manages three funds: The Business Times Budding Artist Fund, which provides arts education to financially disadvantaged children and youth; The #Engage Initiative, which seeks to bridge the digital divide; and the Fund for Fun, which seeks to provide arts and wellness programmes and public artworks in spaces that invite interaction, provide positive distraction and uplift the spirit of the community.
