About Campaignends 31 Dec 2017, 11:59 PM
Over the years, we continue to dedicate itself to critique life objectively; to entertain the audience respectfully; to explore new frontiers in art unceasingly through its strong repertoire of local productions and overseas works.
TTP produces and organises a variety of productions, festival and events annually, and we are very excited to share some of our highlights in 2018:
- April 2018: Four Horse Road (A brand new immersive theatre experience happening on Waterloo Street)
- July 2018: Bi-annual fundraiser
- August 2018: A theatre festival for young audiences
- November 2018: The Little Windmills Take the Stage! (An annual showcase by students from our weekly play-centric arts programmes)
As a non-profit arts institution, we receive only limited funding from the government, so the generous support and donations from individuals like you, are a crucial lifeline for the development of our organisation. We would greatly appreciate your support in helping us realise these programmes in plan for 2018. Every contribution goes a long way towards helping us create exciting and innovative theatre and community projects, while keeping ticket prices affordable for everyone.
The Theatre Practice is proud to be a partner of Giving Week 2017.
The Theatre Practice (TTP) is the longest-standing professional bilingual theatre group in Singapore. In 1965, theatre doyen Kuo Pao Kun and dancer/choreographer Goh Lay Kuan founded Singapore Performing Arts School, The Theatre Practice's earliest incarnation. Over the years, TTP continues to dedicate itself to critique life objectively; to entertain the audience respectfully; to explore new frontiers in art unceasingly through its strong repertoire of local productions and overseas works. Over the last 52 years, TTP has presented and collaborated in over 300 productions ranging from classics embodying Singapore's diverse cultural backgrounds, to lauded Chinese musicals and experimental works focused on exploring an alternative voice in theatre. TTP strives to embrace the diversities of the local multicultural landscape, bringing you theatrical works which are entertaining, original and thought-provoking.
