About Campaign

ends 15 May 2018, 11:59 PM
Come 16 May to 3 June 2018, Drama Box and The Necessary Stage will premiere Underclass, a brand new work that explores poverty, inequality and human dignity in Singapore.

We are seeking your help to purchase tickets via The Triangle Project for the underprivileged to watch the show!

Underclass asks urgent questions about the widening class divide in Singapore today. Who speaks up for the marginalised in society? Or will they be airbrushed out of our national narrative of prosperity and progress?

The Triangle Project was started in 1992 with the aim of providing opportunities for the less privileged to watch theatre. The Necessary Stage matches donors and charities with the former buying tickets to our productions for the beneficiaries.

We hope to raise $8,000 from now until 15 May 2018, so that we can purchase tickets for Underclass for 200 beneficiaries. With your help, these tickets will allow the beneficiaries to enjoy a night out at the theatre, something that most of them may not have had a chance to experience.

Each ticket for the performance will cost $39 (inclusive of ticketing fee). All donations will be tax-exempted at 250% for the year 2018.
