Adopt-A-Programme campaign helps The Substation to raise much needed funds to support its 2022 programmes 'you are obviously in the right place - An Artist's Journey'.

'you are obviously in the right place - An Artist's Journey' is an intimate audience experience where an artist shares their art practices and how this city inspires them as art makers.

For our first cycle in the months of March and April 2022, the presenting artists are Nadia Ali, Wesley Leon Aroozoo, Mary Bernadette Lee and Sabrina Sng.

For your generous contribution, Donors of $120 category and above will be acknowledged as Programme Adopters on The Substation website.

About the Charity

A pioneer in championing Singapore and Southeast Asian artists through artist development and arts education programmes, The Substation is Singapore's first independent contemporary arts company founded in 1990 by the late Kuo Pao Kun.

With a 31-year history, The Substation has been acknowledged as a major contributor to the Singapore contemporary arts scene, having developed and supported critically acclaimed artists, critics and art professionals including Alvin Tan, Goh Boon Teck, Amanda Heng, Kok Heng Leun and the late Lee Wen.

Adopting a multiple locations strategy and meaningful partnerships allow The Substation to build on our tradition of collaboration and community, as well as grow our audience by offering an experience of discovery. Expanding our collaborations into Southeast Asia, The Substation will continue to champion original works by artists, specialists and curators who engage with and contribute to the complex conversations around art, and to build an environment of curiosity and inclusiveness.

We welcome you to be a part of The Substation. Please visit www.substation.org.
