About Campaign

Tensions used to run high between Anna* and her mother. Although her mother genuinely cared for her, Anna would shut her mother out as she felt that her mother did not have her best interests at heart. Unfortunately, Anna was easily swayed by her peers and ended up mixing with the wrong company. Due to her naive and impulsive nature, she made some bad choices and was referred to The Salvation Army Gracehaven under the Beyond Parental Control court order.

When Anna first entered Gracehaven, she felt lost and apprehensive about her future. To help Anna manage her anxiety, we supported her with counselling and friendship. We also provided her with academic support and tailored programmes to develop her confidence and potential. She participated in various enriching programmes such as Gracehaven's community give back project where she helped prepare care packages for domestic helpers. Since then, Anna has grown more independent and can manage her anxiety better. She has also become more patient in her daily interactions with people after learning to be more open to others with different perspectives.

Anna is one of the many beneficiaries under The Salvation Army's care and it is only with your support that we can continue to help them. We hope that Anna's story inspires you to help others to heal and be empowered to live meaningfully. Thank you for your generous donation.
