About Campaign

Many of us do not like being ill or worse, being chronically ill with no one to turn to for help.

Mr Lee* was in this exact situation a few years back. Besides being blind in one eye, he also suffered from diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, thyroid and depression. Whenever he felt any unusual discomfort, he always thought the worst of his condition and would often rush down to the hospital's Accident and Emergency department. After a number of visits, the hospital referred Mr Lee's case to the Agency of Integrated Care and he joined The Salvation Army Peacehaven Day Centre to receive proper care.

Since then, Mr Lee has been going to Peacehaven Day Centre daily and his health and well-being have improved. Staff would monitor his health and ensure that he receives the required nursing care and medication. As Mr Lee is unable to clean after himself, our homecare staff also goes to his home on a weekly basis to clean his home and prevent it from reeking. With all of his daily needs met by our team of dedicated staff, Mr Lee now no longer lives in anxiety of growing old all alone.

For this Giving Week, do take a moment to help many others like Mr Lee, who are living in abject poverty and despair. Your donation can make a difference for the underprivileged - young and old, and give them hope for a better tomorrow.

About the Charity

The Salvation Army has been touching lives in Singapore since 1935 and we remain committed in serving the underprivileged in the community without discrimination. To us, every life is precious and we actively help those in need regardless of age, race or religion.

Our diverse programmes reach out to vulnerable children and youth, frail elderly, struggling families, isolated migrant workers and other needy segments in our society.

Your support goes a long way in helping to transform our beneficiaries lives. Because of your kindness, many can have hope for tomorrow.

* Please note that we can only accept donations (from this portal) for The Salvation Army Singapore and not overseas countries.
