About Campaign

Christmas is a time of joy and celebration. Sadly, many others, including vulnerable children, are struggling and need courage to overcome their daily struggles, just like Jerald* who depended on The Salvation Army to turn his life around.

After his mother's death, Jerald* felt very distraught and would often stay out late to escape his grief. Unfortunately, Jerald mixed with the wrong company and was involved in substance abuse and theft. This strained Jerald's relationship with his father and caused frequent fights between them.

In 2020, Jerald was referred to The Salvation Army Gracehaven under our Children and Youth Group. We provided counselling and mentoring to help him overcome his emotional pain. Before his admission, Jerald was often absent from school and struggled to keep up with his studies. Gracehaven worked closely with his school to design an individualised programme to help him catch up. Our staff also spent time understanding Jerald better to motivate him and help him find a renewed purpose in life.

In this festive season of caring, we hope you will join us in encouraging those in need and supporting The Salvation Army interventions that help the vulnerable transform their lives.
