About Campaign
ends 31 Mar 2021, 11:59 PMLiving in a meagre 2-room rental flat, the whole family relies on financial assistance as Karen is unable to work in order to care for her dependents. Juggling endless needs and mounting bills, Karen was struggling under the weight of her responsibilities. She was also at a loss on how to help her children as they missed their father dearly, and would often ask Karen when will papa come home.
Things only started to look up after Karen was introduced to The Salvation Army Prison Support - Kids In Play. With our support, Karen realised that she was not alone and drew strength from fellow caregivers. Through meaningful programmes, she and her children developed necessary skills to cope with their difficult situation, such as character building, self-empowerment and familial social skills. We also helped to arrange a tailored enrichment programme to cater to the needs of her special needs child.
Karen's family desperately needed a lifeline and The Salvation Army was there for them. Will you be there for other struggling families who are badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic? Be their beacon of hope by donating today.
