About Campaignends 15 Jun 2020, 11:59 PM
As our world and country slow to nearly a halt, The New Charis Mission (TNCM) has to continually see to the sustainability of our Residential Rehabilitation Programme.
This essentially refers to the care, SUSTENANCE and protection of our beneficiaries (most of them are ex-offenders in bondage of chronic substance addiction and years of recidivism) currently undergoing our Residential Rehabilitation Programme for 12 - 18 months. These are broken men in need of refuge and recovery. These are men who are working very hard to step out of their mess and become messengers of hope. These are sons, husbands, father, and brothers with families waiting for their life transformations.
TNCM depends on its fundraising efforts to sustain daily operations/needs in our Residential Rehabilitation Programme for our men. The effects of COVID-19 have resulted in the inevitable cancellation of 3 major fundraising events which would have provided for 50% of our operational needs. Funds raised through this campaign will help defray part of our daily operation cost like utilities, food, lodging and staff on duty.
Help us continue providing for the rehabilitation needs of our beneficiaries. Help us COMPLETE the HOPE and CHANGE for them even in this season. Together, we can overcome.
About the Charity
YOU can be a part of HOPE & CHANGE!
Donate and join us to reach the disadvantaged and the marginalised in our society to bring them new hope and opportunities. We enable and equip them through our targetted programmes, tools and refuge.
HALFWAY HOUSE: Our rehabilitation programme provides restoration for newly released ex-offenders and walk-in individuals who are seeking to change their lives. Here, they learn how to rebuild their lives and families, and then contribute back to society.
YOUTH: Our transformed ex-offenders move upstream from aftercare to preventive work with structured mentoring programmes to reach our next generation in schools.
PRISON: We seek to bring tangible hope and encouragement to those still in prison. Our counselling programme enables them to lead lives liberated from gangs and drugs and survive beyond bars.
ELDERLY: Our objective is to bring joy, comfort and meaning to the lives of our aged poor. Our regular visits, provisions, haircuts, home cleaning and refurbishments have touched many lives. Our team have moved beyond the weekly visitations to transforming the homes of these elderly, giving them a better living condition.
