About Campaign

Due to urbanisation and the need to maximise land use, we are required to return to the Government two-thirds of the land that have served us well for the past 60 years.

The estimated construction cost of $12 million for a new building is a huge sum of money, especially for a relatively small Charity like St. John's Home. But we need to continue providing for homeless and/or needy elderly persons.

Together, we can build a new, future-ready Home for the Elderly, a place where they can age in comfort, grace and dignity.

Join us on this exciting new journey today!

About the Charity

Established in December 1958, St. John's Home for Elderly Persons is a Sheltered Home for elderly persons who are ambulant and aged above 60. Our mission is to provide shelter and care for the physical and spiritual needs of such elderly persons as have no home or suitable accommodation and no children or close relatives who have adequate facilities for looking after them. The Home is open to all regardless of race or creed. St John's Home for Elderly Persons is not a government-funded organisation. We depend on the generosity of the public to continue our works. Due to urban planning and the need to maximise land use, the Home is raising funds to construct a five-storey building, on one third of our existing land area. The estimated construction cost of the new building is $15 million. We invite you to join us in this exciting new journey of building a new Home for the Elderly, so that our elderly residents will not be displaced when our land tenancy expires. The Home is a recipient of the President's Award for Philanthropy 2014 (Non-profit). Website Link : www.stjohneldershome.org.sg
