About Campaign

ends 31 Jan 2023, 11:59 PM
Music has helped lift spirits in the lowest time of the pandemic. And as the nation approaches relative normalcy, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) remains dedicated to impacting lives through our music.

We have much to celebrate as 2022 draws to a close. One significant instance is the restoration of full live concerts. With the entire orchestra reclaiming the stage and audience members filling the concert halls, the SSO is geared to present many more free community concerts to delight people of all ages. Also returning are SSO's beloved programmes, including SSO Babies' Proms and SSO Concerts For Children that nurture the love of music in young ones.

In 2023, we set our sights on more SSO community projects to create memorable musical experiences for thousands more in Singapore. However, the SSO is a non-profit organisation that relies heavily on the generosity of donors. It is only through your sustained giving, we will be able to fuel our lifelong journey of symphonic performances.

The SSO is partially funded by matching grants, which can only be unlocked with your donation. For every dollar you give, we will receive another.

This way, your donation makes twice the difference, one that amplifies the impact of our music.

Donations of $1,000 and above will entitle you to exclusive benefits. Details at https://www.sso.org.sg/support-us/patron-benefits

About the Charity

"The arts and culture are in integral part of Singapore which the country must continue to nurture because man does not live on bread alone." - Prime Minister Lee Hsien Long.

We do wish for the finer things in life, to appreciate beauty and love, and something uplifting for the spirit. Our nation would not be complete without an appreciation of arts and culture, and without Singaporeans who create artistic and cultural works.

An arts charity, the Singapore Symphony Group (SSG) manages the country's flagship orchestra, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra comprises 90 full-time musicians that play a versatile repertoire of familiar favourites and exciting new works across over 60 concerts a year. The SSG also manages the Singapore Symphony Choruses, the Singapore National Youth Orchestra, the VCH presents chamber music series, the Singapore International Piano Festival and the biennial National Piano & Violin Competition.

While the SSG is supported partially by funding from the Singapore government, a significant part can only be unlocked as matching grants when we receive donations from the public.

If you have been moved by the powerful, enlivening sound of your national orchestra, please support us by making a donation.

For every dollar given, we receive another from the Cultural Matching Fund, making your donation twice as impactful.
