A Symphony of Passion

The Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) and Food from the Heart (FFTH) have banded together to present a joint fundraising gala, A Symphony of Passion.

Happening on the evening of 29 April 2023 at The Ritz-Carlton, the annual event aims to raise funds to support both charities and their respective missions to impact and reach communities. The fundraising gala includes an exquisite dining experience, along with a series of live performances by the national orchestra.

As Singapore's national orchestra, the SSO has touched lives through music through its world-class performances. Its efforts in community outreach is evident through its programmes to spread the love for music and create memorable shared experiences for all. FFTH, devoted to alleviating hunger by sustaining the less fortunate with food provisions in the past 20 years, has made a difference to the lives of over 60,000 people.

Please help empower both charities at this fundraising gala. Your contribution goes towards supporting the SSO in its artistic pursuits locally and internationally, and FFTH in its quest to create a world free of hunger.

Tables are available at donations of $10,000, $25,000 and $50,000, along with donor packages, and special benefits.

The SSO is the appointed collection agency for all funds received for the gala. For tax benefits, your details will be shared with both charities.

About the Charity

"The arts and culture are in integral part of Singapore which the country must continue to nurture because man does not live on bread alone." - Prime Minister Lee Hsien Long.

We do wish for the finer things in life, to appreciate beauty and love, and something uplifting for the spirit. Our nation would not be complete without an appreciation of arts and culture, and without Singaporeans who create artistic and cultural works.

An arts charity, the Singapore Symphony Group (SSG) manages the country's flagship orchestra, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra comprises 90 full-time musicians that play a versatile repertoire of familiar favourites and exciting new works across over 60 concerts a year. The SSG also manages the Singapore Symphony Choruses, the Singapore National Youth Orchestra, the VCH presents chamber music series, the Singapore International Piano Festival and the biennial National Piano & Violin Competition.

While the SSG is supported partially by funding from the Singapore government, a significant part can only be unlocked as matching grants when we receive donations from the public.

If you have been moved by the powerful, enlivening sound of your national orchestra, please support us by making a donation.

For every dollar given, we receive another from the Cultural Matching Fund, making your donation twice as impactful.
