About the Charity

Sree Narayana Mission(Singapore) (SNM) is a charitable organization founded in 1948 with IPC status. In keeping with Sree Narayana Guru's teachings, SNM Singapore provides a wide range of social service programmes for the less privileged regardless of race, language or religion. Since its inception, it has grown into a leading social service organization in the Integrated Long Term Care(ILTC) sector. SNM Singapore operates a 224-bed nursing home ( Sree Narayana Mission Nursing Home (SNMH) and two Senior Care Centres for the elderly at Yishun & Woodlands). SNM Singapore also manages Meranti Home, a welfare home for male destitute individuals in need of psychiatric care. To meet the needs of the wider community, SNM Singapore provides social assistance and community outreach programmes such as educational financial assistance, befriending services, and The Lend-A-Hand Project. This is a social assistance programme developed in collaboration with the Social Service Office (SSO) Yishun, in support of single-parent households in the community. The programme aims to uplift the well-being of the household with a single parent through regular contact, befriending and support when they come to SNMH. Every third Saturday of each month, they are provided with a range of household provisions to select from, to alleviate part of their financial burden while our volunteers engage with the parents. SNM provides all logistical and operational support for each session.
