Thank you for participating in Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon!
For the fourth year, Team Singapore Marathon have partnered with SPD Sheltered Workshop to pack the event race packs. This provides employment and a source of income for people with disabilities like Boon Kian, who is one of the many persons with disabilities who has been packing the race pack for the runners.
We need more help to serve more people with disabilities.

About the Charity
Founded in November 1964, SPD is a voluntary welfare organisation that supports people with physical, sensory (visual and hearing impairments) and developmental disabilities by promoting their interest, welfare and advancement so as to develop their potential to the fullest. We now serve over 5,000 people with disabilities of all ages through programmes and services that focus on these areas: 1. Children & Youth: Focus on education and development 2. Adults: Focus on Independence and employment 3. Elderly: Focus on independence We develop programmes and services to help people with disabilities become more independent and self-reliant so that they can lead more fulfilling lives. As we have been awarded with an Institution of Public Character (IPC) status, all cash donations to SPD are eligible for tax-deduction of 2.5 times the donation amount.
