About Campaign

Having a disability is a constant struggle and many people with disabilities go through every day requiring a lot of determination and strength. At SPD, our team of dedicated and professional staff work with them to create enabling environments and opportunities to help integrate them into mainstream society.

SPD runs over 20 programmes and services in aid of more than 5,000 persons with disabilities. For more than 50 years, we have worked closely with and received much help from the Government, our partners and the community to empower the lives of people with disabilities. Because of the support, we have seen students with disabilities completing their tertiary education with many getting diplomas or degrees. We trained and found jobs for people with disabilities that enabled them to be financially independent. Family members and caregivers found respite and were able to continue working knowing that their loved ones were well taken care of, fully engaged in activities that trained them to be more independent or enhanced their quality of life. We helped people with disabilities cope with everyday life challenges through counselling, emotional support and coordinating resources.

We look forward to receiving your partnership in support for people with disabilities.
