About Campaign

The past two years have been challenging. We cancelled many of our fundraising events and were unsure if we could raise sufficient funds to provide the much-needed support for people with disabilities (PwD).

We are incredibly thankful to our supporters for helping us through the difficult times. Other than volunteering and donation, many created their own fundraising page to share their thoughts on supporting SPD and encouraged others to donate to our cause. Through their efforts, many others gained a better understanding on how they can play a part in making a difference to the lives of PwD and donated to SPD.

Many of our beneficiaries are people with physical and multiple disabilities who require constant care in their daily living. They need support in areas such as toileting and having their food blended so that it is easy to consume. Many have been with us for over 20 years, and they will continue to need your support in the years ahead.

We hope that you can lend your voice to SPD by setting up your own fundraising page to share your thoughts on supporting PwDs and encourage others to donate tothe cause. You can share about your experience on interacting with a PwD, your thoughts on why you support SPD or even your personal story on being a PwD.

Do contact Calvin Lee at [email protected] or 6579 0780 and he will provide you with a step-by-step guide on how to proceed. Of course, should you be keen to donate, simply click the donate button above. Thank you!

About the Charity

SPD is a local charity set up in 1964 to help people with disabilities maximise their potential and be a part of mainstream society.

We are here to help children and youths with special needs reach for the stars and be the best that they can be through early intervention and educational support.

We strive to boost the self-reliance and mobility of persons with disabilities within the community, and we do so through therapy services, assistive technology and the support and encouragement of our care team.

Our day care programmes provide respite to families, making it possible for persons with disabilities to stay with their loved ones at home for as long as possible without having to resort to institutional care.

A strong advocate for inclusive employment, we train people with disabilities and work with them to seek suitable employment opportunities so that they can be financially independent and lead a full and engaged life.

After more than 50 years, we remain focused and committed to enabling people with disabilities.
