About Campaignends 27 Oct 2019, 11:59 PM
I was a content creator for fashion, lifestyle and sports when I had a traffic accident. My injuries were so severe that the doctors had to puncture a hole in my windpipe just to keep me alive.
Paralysed from the chest down, I am unsure of my future but I am not ready to give up.
I greatly appreciate the help of SPD's Transition to Employment's team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers and coaches who assisted me with my therapy session and helped me with my transition back to school.
This journey was not easy and there are still many things which I require the assistance from others. But I have since improved and have better control of my body.
Right now, I am an advocate for disabilities and aim to promote inclusiveness in the society.
I urge you to make a contribution to SPD. Your support will go a long way towards helping people with disabilities achieve independence and self-reliance through the provision of training, assistive technology, early intervention as well as access to education, employment, therapy, transport and social support.
