About Campaign

Over the years at SPD, we saw how assistive technology has given 7-year-old Ruo En, who has cerebral palsy, a voice and the ability to connect with those around her. Through vocational training and job placement support, we helped 60-year-old Kamaruddin regain his sense of dignity and achieve economic independence after an amputation due to diabetes. We also remember fondly how we rejoiced together with Steve Chong when he got out of his wheelchair to take his first unaided steps after months of working closely with our physiotherapist. The 40-year-old came to us in the hopes of finding work again after sustaining a spinal cord injury. I am happy to share that Steve is working as a project engineer now.

There is much work waiting ahead but with your continued support, we have the confidence to focus on doing more of what we do best - helping people with disabilities lead more enriching and independent lives.

If you support what we do and would like to help us further our work, you could make an online donation to SPD. Alternatively, please make cheque payable to "SPD", indicating your name, NRIC number, e-mail address, contact number and "Enabling Lives" at the back of the cheque.

Wishing you a Happy New Year!
