About Campaign

Along with the spirit of giving, SPD Continuing Therapy Programme (CTP) is launching a Pay-it-Forward initiative, to support our families with financial needs. The COVID-19 situation has affected the financial stability of many families. Despite so, we believe that every child's learning and development is important. Hence, CTP's goal is for all children to receive equal access to the much-needed services like therapy to help them cope better in school and work towards a brighter tomorrow.

SPD CTP supports children from 0 to 17 years old with developmental disabilities, and their families, by providing short term speech therapy and occupational therapy sessions at 2 Centres in Tiong Bahru and Tampines. CTP also conducts group therapy programmes and caregiver workshops. We are here to help children and youths with developmental needs reach for the stars and be the best that they can be through early intervention and educational support and we believe in empowering and working together with caregivers, to maximise the child's learning in their natural learning environment.

We seek your support to be part of the Pay-it-Forward initiative, to support many other children like Aqif. You can support by making a donation in any amount. Your support and care for fellow Singaporeans in times of need is very much appreciated.

About the Charity

SPD is a local charity set up in 1964 to help people with disabilities maximise their potential and be a part of mainstream society.

We are here to help children and youths with special needs reach for the stars and be the best that they can be through early intervention and educational support.

We strive to boost the self-reliance and mobility of persons with disabilities within the community, and we do so through therapy services, assistive technology and the support and encouragement of our care team.

Our day care programmes provide respite to families, making it possible for persons with disabilities to stay with their loved ones at home for as long as possible without having to resort to institutional care.

A strong advocate for inclusive employment, we train people with disabilities and work with them to seek suitable employment opportunities so that they can be financially independent and lead a full and engaged life.

After more than 50 years, we remain focused and committed to enabling people with disabilities.
