About Campaign

ends 31 Dec 2020, 11:59 PM
Amidst COVID-19, many of us have the luxury of staying home and keeping safe. The homeless, however, are left with little places of refuge. With many public areas being cordoned off, they struggle to find places to sleep, rest and consume meals.

To care for the homeless, SowCare worked closely with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) in setting up Safe Sound Sleeping Places (S3P). As such, SowCare has set up a temporary shelter at [email protected] Armenian Street. We are also working towards setting up another transient shelter at MacPherson to serve as an integrated social service hub for the poor and needy in the neighbourhood.

Beyond these initiatives, SowCare aims to do more through The Innkeepers' Project, an initiative to provide holistic care for over 260 homeless individuals housed temporarily in HDB estates, spearheaded by Hope Initiative Alliance (HIA). As a member of HIA, SowCare will assist by rendering services and resources, providing a team of individuals to tend to these homeless individuals, while also handling logistical and administrative tasks.

To care for the homeless holistically, food, hygiene essentials and medical assistance, as well as mattresses, pillows, blankets, bedsheets, towels, etc are required. To make in-kind donations and arrange delivery, please contact us at our hotline 6304 3486.

Together, we can extend warmth and refuge to the homeless community before they are ready to transition back into a stable and secure environment.
