Our Vision: Poverty Transformation With-in Empowered Communities
What We Do:
As a community enabler committed to supporting families breaking out of poverty cycle, SCC connects and partners the community in building empathy and ownership by unlocking the community's strengths through:
a. Co-creating opportunities and resources that enable low-income communities towards financial self-sufficiency.
b. Building a neighbourhood that looks out for the safety, care, and education of vulnerable children.
c. Leveraging assets to activate community mutual help through social connections and inclusion of people from different social classes, ethnicity, and ages coming together to help one other.
a. Community-centric Casework & Counselling (CCC):
SCC strongly believes in the authenticity and equality in human connections with every individual and families that comes into our contact. With our vision of Poverty Transformation With-in Empowered Communities, CCC continues to be an essential intervention tools in our work alongside with the low-income/vulnerable families.
b. Community Work & Engagement
SCC encourages community ownership and co-creation of bottom-up initiatives to meet the needs and challenges of our low-income/vulnerable families. Through these, we aspire to revive the gotong royong spirit, encouraging the sharing and mutual help among neighbours and community that enables the low-income and vulnerable families out of poverty.
c. Volunteer Management & Partnerships
SCC builds a community of people who are resources to each other. Our diverse pool of volunteers (individuals and companies) are pivotal to our poverty transformation work.
2. The Social Lab:
