About Campaign

Billa was found wandering the streets, with patches of missing fur and red and raw skin, by a member of the public in March 2018. Concerned about Billa's skin condition, the kind hearted soul brought him to the SPCA.

Billa was seen by our vets and was found to be suffering from serious skin disease. Despite being in constant discomfort from the itch, Billa remained friendly, loving and was a very cooperative paw-tient. It has been a slow recovery process for Billa as our team tried their best to treat him with various medications and a change in diet. After one and a half years of treatment, Billa's skin finally showed significant improvement and he was put up for adoption in September 2019.

Billa is taking a while to find a forever home and in the meantime, he still requires regular medication, treatments and a prescribed diet to help manage his skin condition. It costs approximately $500 a month for Billa's treatments and food -

Monthly Immunotherapy Cytopoint injection: $190
Various medication: $55
Medicated shampoo: $30
Heartworm preventive: $20
Hypoallergenic kibbles: $200

We hope to raise $3,000 to help cover Billa's treatment costs for the next 6 months. In the happy event that Billa is adopted, the amount raised will go to the SPCA's Community Animal Clinic to help more animals like Billa.

About the Charity

Double your impact by donating today!

Donations made between 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020 will be matched dollar-for-dollar, capped at $400,000, by the Bicentennial Community Fund (BCF).

The SPCA is a registered non-profit animal welfare charity with IPC status, and our two main objectives are to promote kindness and prevent cruelty to animals.

Relying mainly on kind donations from the public and fundraising, the Society does not receive any government funding or grants, to support the shelter and clinic, inspectorate work and animal rescue services, as well as other initiatives such as our foster care programme, sterilisation programme for community animals, and education and outreach efforts.

Over 100 animals are taken in by the Society every month. Most of these animals are abandoned, unwanted, abused, sick/injured or lost. Our officers have rescued numerous animals, like Gemma, Aiden and Cookie, across Singapore (see above video).

To carry out our animal welfare work, we require over S$2,400,000 annually.

You can make a difference to the animals.

Your kind donation will directly impact upon our operations in providing shelter, food, medical attention and love to the rescued animals that walk through our doors each day.

Your donations are eligible for 250% tax deduction.
