Food is basic human need according to Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. For the elderly in our nursing home, rice provide nourishment and sustain their lives.

Society for the Aged Sick is a non-profit and charitable organisation which provides residential care to 404 elderly residents. More than 90% belong to the lower-income group, and are either wheelchair-bound or bed-bound.

We provide meals for both our elderly residents and staff where majority are direct care staff from different nationalities who reside in our on-site dormitories. Average 100 kg of rice per day is consumed.

Your kind donation is important to support our nursing home.
The sum of $15,000 raised will support 3 months of rice supply.

All cash donations are strictly used for rice purchase.

We also welcome physical rice donations.
Our location is at 130 Hougang Ave 1, Singapore 538900.
Kindly call Ivan at 6922 6206 or email to [email protected] to inform us in advance of your delivery.

We express our heartfelt thanks for all donations which will certainly make a difference to our elderly.

About the Charity

Society for the Aged Sick (SAS) is a non-profit nursing home that provides long-term residential and respite care services for the elderly, especially the less-privileged.

With a team of committed healthcare professionals and caregivers, we believe in adding years of quality life to our residents through holistic caregiving.

Established in 1968 as a 16-bedded facility, we now have 404 beds in our current location.

We hope to create a home within a home environment where our residents can enjoy professional and individualized care. Every resident is treated with respect, and we affirm that our residents' dignity is at the core of our work.
