About Campaign

Project Makan! is an initiative by the Society for the Aged Sick that aims to deliver hawker food to our residents once a month.

With about 220 residents who are able to eat solid foods, this projects purpose is to warm the belly and comfort the hearts of our residents. Every dollar counts in building our fund to provide for a simple monthly meal. While our kitchen already provides balanced meals that meet the nutritional needs of our residents, we also recognise that residents long for simple hawker food (Eg: Chicken Rice, Char Kway Teow, Laksa) that all Singaporeans are familiar with.

Make a difference today!

Update: Thank you to donors for giving generously to this project in 2017!

11/11/2018: Thank you for the continued support. We are consciously keeping track of the donations, and using them for the said purpose!

*$10 could provide food to three residents
*$50 could provide for fifteen residents
*$100 could provide for thirty residents

About the Charity

Society for the Aged Sick (SAS) is a non-profit nursing home that provides long-term residential and respite care services for the elderly, especially the less-privileged.

With a team of committed healthcare professionals and caregivers, we believe in adding years of quality life to our residents through holistic caregiving.

Established in 1968 as a 16-bedded facility, we now have 404 beds in our current location.

We hope to create a home within a home environment where our residents can enjoy professional and individualized care. Every resident is treated with respect, and we affirm that our residents' dignity is at the core of our work.

Fundraising can help to raise more and change more lives.
