About Campaign

Society for the Aged Sick (SAS) is a non-profit and charitable organisation which provides residential care to approximately 400 elderly from the lower-income group.

Residents are taken care of round the clock by our caregivers here. With more than 90% of the residents either wheelchair- or bed-bound, taking care of the residents is no easy feat.

On top of that, the cost of running a nursing home remains high. At SAS, we have in-house facilities to take care of the daily meals and laundry needs of all our residents.

This fund will be used towards our goal of purchasing ration such as Milo, Cooking Oil, Cream Crackers, Sugar, Condensed Milk and Coffee for the Home. These purchases will be made whenever the need arises.

On average, the cost of feeding a resident is $5.20 per day, with $1 spent on dry rations.

Should there be any balance donation left over (where expenses incurred are less than what we initially budgeted and raised), it will be used for operational expenses of the Home.

We also welcome donations in kind.

We are located at 130 Hougang Ave 1, Singapore 538900. Kindly contact the Corporate & Community Relations Dept at 6922 6222 or [email protected] to inform us in advance of your delivery.

We express our heartfelt thanks for all donations which will certainly make a difference to our elderly.

About the Charity

Society for the Aged Sick (SAS) is a non-profit nursing home that provides long-term residential and respite care services for the elderly, especially the less-privileged.

With a team of committed healthcare professionals and caregivers, we believe in adding years of quality life to our residents through holistic caregiving.

Established in 1968 as a 16-bedded facility, we now have 404 beds in our current location.

We hope to create a home within a home environment where our residents can enjoy professional and individualized care. Every resident is treated with respect, and we affirm that our residents' dignity is at the core of our work.

Fundraising can help to raise more and change more lives.
