About Campaign
ends 01 Mar 2022, 11:59 PMCNY has always been an occasion for families to spend time together. This year, however, with the rise in Omicron cases, our elderly residents will not be able to have any visitations for the next 4 weeks due to the new mandated regulations. This has been a terrible blow as our residents were really looking forward to meeting with their loved ones.
Many of our needy elderly have simple wishes that they hope will get answered. Since visitations are entirely cancelled this CNY, we are hoping to garner your support to grant their basic wishes. Sometimes it's a stuffed toy for companionship, sometimes it's books to broaden their horizon.
You can grant their comfort needs by donating $10, $60, $120, or $220.
This is the 2nd Chinese New Year that our 320+ residents are still Home-bound because of heightened COVID-19 restrictions. You must know what it's like to be unable to go out, and they have not been able to for two years and counting! (They can only leave for medical appointments like doctor consultations and dialysis.)
You can imagine what this does to a person's psyche. As the restrictions drag on, our Home is fervently trying to improve their morale. Your donation will not only grant their simple wishes, it can also create a positive psychological impact for them.
You can help to spread cheer this CNY by making a donation to bless the low-income elderly.
Your donation is also 250% tax-deductible.
About the Charity
Society for the Aged Sick (SAS) is a non-profit nursing home that provides long-term residential and respite care services for the elderly, especially the less-privileged.
With a team of committed healthcare professionals and caregivers, we believe in adding years of quality life to our residents through holistic caregiving.
Established in 1968 as a 16-bedded facility, we now have 404 beds in our current location.
We hope to create a home within a home environment where our residents can enjoy professional and individualized care. Every resident is treated with respect, and we affirm that our residents' dignity is at the core of our work.
