About Campaign

One in 20 Singaporeans live with wounds that take a long time to heal.

Wounds are often referred to as a silent epidemic in healthcare as patients with wounds frequently suffer from other conditions like diabetes or hypertension.

Without proper treatment, wounds can lead to infection, physical pain and psychological distress, and consequently greatly reduce a patient's quality of life. Wound care is critical but costly, with treatments ranging from $800 to $1,000 per person per month, lasting from three to six months. This financial burden can be challenging for some.

St Luke's ElderCare has published "Wounded Healer: Inspirations for Lent", a collection of poems by Dr Kenny Tan to raise funds for SLEC's Healing Gets A Helping Hand Wound Care Fund which enables elders with financial difficulties to access wound treatment where necessary.

For every donation of $150, you will receive a copy of "Wounded Healer: Inspirations for Lent".
