About Campaign
ends 09 May 2023, 11:59 PMWhen asked about our favourite food, sometimes we are transported back to the fondest memories, and our elders at St Luke's ElderCare feel the same.
Living in a food-crazed city like Singapore, grabbing a plate of our favourite dishes from a local joint at any time comes with minimal challenges. However, this may be different for some elders. Due to varying reasons, from financial constraints and technological obstacles to mobility restrictions, a plate of Char Kuay Teow may seem out of reach.
At St Luke's ElderCare, we want to ensure they have access to these simple pleasures and even a chance to relive fond memories. And you can help!
Your generous contributions will go to the SLEC Dining Culture Programme, which aims to provide thematic meal opportunities and assistive devices for over 2,400 elders at our islandwide senior care centres, active ageing hubs and residential homes.
The SLEC Dining Culture programme distinguishes itself from other meal provisions through its concerted efforts to promote healthy eating habits. A positive dining culture also has the added benefit of improving relationships and increasing elder nutritional intake through improved food presentation, taste, and nutrition.
About the Charity
St Luke's ElderCare (SLEC) is a non-profit eldercare service provider serving more than 5,000 elders through a full range of integrated services and programmes that include centre-based, community-based, home-based and residential-based services. We currently operate 24 senior care centres, a nursing home in Ang Mo Kio and an Active Ageing Hub in Bishan. We continue to expand our service footprint islandwide, with the aim of meeting the demands of eldercare in Singapore.
