Singapore Ballet (previously Singapore Dance Theatre) is an ambassador for dance and for Singapore; bridging any divides and differences to establish resonance for both practitioners and audiences through quality performances and engaging educational and outreach activities, thereby strengthening the appreciation and love of dance as an art form.OUR MISSIONTo be an internationally well-regarded professional dance company that is known for its unique ability to shine in classical, neo-classical and contemporary repertoire, with works that are timeless and inspiring.

ABOUT US

Singapore Ballet (previously Singapore Dance Theatre) was founded in 1988 by Goh Soo Khim and Anthony Then. The Company has since developed into Singapore's premier professional dance company comprising of 35 Company dancers plus apprentices. More than a decade on, SDT continues to have the privilege of performing a myriad of repertoires in a world-class performing arts venue for exhilarating audiences. In the course of each year, the Company performs six seasons annually.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

To our dearest friends and supporters of Singapore Ballet, as Singapore's only premier professional dance company, we seek to be as transparent and honest with our loyal supporters. You may or may not know, but our box office ticket sales cover less than 35% of the total cost of our productions, theatre rental cost, in addition to the cost of our sets, costumes, pointe shoes, and marketing costs.As a non-profit organisation, it is only through government grants, corporate sponsorships, donors' support, and our loyal audiences, that we are able to continue developing and producing even higher quality performances for you. Therefore, to make our endeavour a greater possibility, we would like to appeal to you for your support.

Every donation counts, and it will be entitled to a dollar-for-dollar Cultural Matching Grant, by the Ministry of Culture, Community, and Youth.
