About Campaign
ends 13 May 2021, 11:59 PMWe are experiencing an unprecedented challenge of the COVID-19 global pandemic. The outbreak of COVID-19 will have a long-term and profound impact on senior's health and well-being.
As seniors are being advised to self-quarantine and minimise contact with other people who might risk infecting them. Social isolation and loneliness are likely to be one of the most affected health outcomes.
Social isolation and loneliness have been linked with poor physical and mental health.
The more active a senior citizen is, the healthier they'll be. Staying physically, socially and mentally active contributes directly to improved physical health and overall well-being
Looking ahead from COVID-19 and with a little help from you, our Elder Aid beneficiaries like Menaka Gopal, 64, and her friends can continue to engage in weekly activities which include arts and craft, foot spa, games and monthly haircut organised by the Singapore Red Cross (SRC)
Somu and Menaka had received customised care packages from SRC as part of the humanitarian organisation's local COVID-19 relief initiatives. Read their story here: https://redcross.sg/news-stories/stories/909-bringing-joy-to-the-seniors.html
Together we can be #SGUNITED. On behalf of our beneficiaries, we thank you.
