About Campaign

ends 30 Apr 2021, 11:59 PM
As of 21st April 2020, the number of COVID-19 cases has risen over 9,000, with a majority of new cases coming from the migrant worker community. During this extended Circuit Breaker, all foreign workers staying in dormitories in Singapore will be on full lockdown, which means they will no longer be allowed to leave or enter their dormitory premises.

With your help, the Singapore Red Cross is working to deliver essentials like masks and hand sanitizers to this affected community. The aim of this campaign is to raise funds to help offset the operation costs of islandwide delivery of essentials to our migrant worker community, so that they can stay safe and protect themselves as best as possible.

On April 20th, the Singapore Red Cross delivered over 57,000 masks and hand sanitizers to migrant worker dormitories islandwide. Yesterday (April 22nd), our team was on the move, sending out a second tranche of 17,000 masks to three sites, for dormitories islandwide.

More will be shared with the dormitories in the upcoming weeks. On top of masks and hand sanitisers, we're planning to distribute hygiene kits, soap, shampoo etc as well.

Please note that donations to this campaign go towards offsetting the direct operations costs that can run to $10,000 or more per month. There are no plans as yet to purchase essentials but we may do so when the needs arise.

Thank you for donating. Stay safe, everyone!
